I really don't get why people are so very upset. Isn't this the best of both worlds because we get two alternate universes?

There are already EU books and things that don't fit into the EU canon. What's the difference?

Honestly I'm glad to have the reset. It was all very confusing what was consider cannon and so many rules with it. This way everything can be brought back into one line and makes it easier to follow. I can understand why people are upset but at least Disney didn't completely do away with it.

I loved the EU (for a while, eventually I felt like it went off the rails), and I'm fine with the reset. It would be boring if the new movies were just following the same stories I already knew, and even though it's not canon anymore those stories are still real and enjoyable to me.

I can understand why people are upset but at least Disney didn't completely do away with it. i think a reset is the only logical thing to do. who the hell expects people to have kept up on decades of side material? everytime i meet a starwars fan and walk away thinking wow what a stupid asshole, they were huge into the eu stuff. comics do universe resets so it makes sense to say ok this is what we are dealing with that way we dont have to think all day and worry about "oh this conflicts with a tiny bit in a shitty book that nobody cares about until now cause hipster bullshit." just because it isnt cannon doesnt mean you cant talk about it, so shut the hell up/deal wit hit/ kill yourself or just go read your book just like you always did. this is a new age of starwars, who thought this would ever happen? and people are gunna complain? come ooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Honestly there for a minute I was worried what if we all hated the movie. I remember having a panic conversation with Seth about it. What if this is to us what the PT was to those that grew up on the OT as it came out in theaters. But it was not, so all is good.

Everyone loved the TPM when it came out, so. Don't let your guard down so fast.

I don't care about others just myself. They can hate it or love it. All that matters to me is how I feel about it and I loved it.
