Wow. Yeah. I think he would have loved it. Like, he would have totally acknowledged that it emulated the formula of the original movie but I don't think that would have affected his final rating.

Yeah, agreed. And, related to the other thread, the only prequel Ebert rated poorly was AotC, and it had to do with the filming process, not the story or characters.
